Speak Up, Speak Out, Take Action

2008 conference attendees should be sure to visit the center of the Exhibit Hall where you will be able to participate in NBCCF’s Interactive Café. We’ll have 5 stations with different activities where you can speak up, speak out and take action.

1) Conference Community Survey – Tell us more about yourself so we can better understand the demographics of conference attendees.

2) Finding Breast Cancer Information Online – Take a survey about how you find online data and help us as we create new and innovative resources for breast cancer information.

3) Website Pilot – Tell us what you think about 3 different versions of a new NBCCF website for breast cancer patients and their families.

4) Breast Cancer Caucus – Sign the Voter Pledge: “In the 2008 primary, caucus and general elections, I pledge to vote to eradicate breast cancer.” And, bring email addresses of friends and family, so you can forward it to them as well.

5) Conference Video Diary – Record a video message on any number of topics including your breast cancer advocacy, the conference program, or how you feel about the presidential candidates’ plans to eradicate breast cancer.

As an added incentive to visit the Interactive Café, each conference registrant will receive a set of door prize tickets in your conference badge. After completing each activity at the Interactive Café, you can turn in one ticket and be entered into the drawing for 6 great prizes. Prizes include $50 gift cards to Barnes & Noble, Crate & Barrel, Gap, Linens N Things, and Red Door Spa, as well as a free 2009 Conference Registration. The drawing will be held Monday night at the Conference Reception. Must be present to win.

So, as you plan your trip to DC for the conference, prepare to speak up, speak out and take action at our Interactive Café. Your voice will be heard – and you might even win a prize!
